W.A Cooke & Sons (Site Services) Ltd have endured a very busy and productive 2016 so far. After achieving placement on the United Utilities Contractor Framework Agreement, we have developed a positive and proactive relationship together, working towards modernising local water treatment services and booster establishments throughout the North West.

Working alongside our long standing customer, Hydro Intl, we are now part way through the development of the Oswestry clean water treatment plant. The project includes the installation and assembly of a state of the art scraper system and a large number of vertical filters for the purpose built concrete tank.

The long term installation project is due for completion by the end of November 2016.

W.A Cooke & Sons appoint new Design Engineer

Category : General

To expand on the services we already offer W.A Cooke & Sons have recently employed an in-house Design Engineer.

While we have always worked closely with our customers to develop the designs of their fabrications we have entrusted the CAD work to an external design company. The decision to bring this service in-house was made to allow us to better control a project from start to finish and ensure our high quality standard is applied throughout.

The addition of our in-house design service allows to offer the 3 key elements of engineering all under one roof-

2016 marks W.A Cooke & Sons 90th year!

Category : General

W.A Cooke & Sons was established in 1926 by William Allen Cooke and in March 2016 will celebrate its 90th year.

Originally set up as a Blacksmiths on the cobbled high street of Walkden town the majority of our customers were more interested in getting their horses shoed than developing bespoke fabrications, but as the years passed the complexity of the work William and his team undertook increased and it wasn’t long before they were working on challenging fabrications for a variety of industries.

While the forge is gone and the anvil gathers dust in the corner W.A Cooke & Sons still works to the same principles it was founded on and to this days remains a family run engineering company.

This year not only marks our 90th anniversary but also sees the significant development of the W.A Cooke & Sons group such as:

  • Numerous new product & service releases under both the W.A Cooke & Sons Engineering and Watermark Projects wastewater treatment divisions (including an in-house drawing & design service)
  • Expansion and re-development of our head office
  • Further developments to the Dissolved Air Flotation system and significant growth to our fleet of trial units through the Watermark Projects division

The W.A Cooke & Sons brand gets a revamp!

Category : General

Along with a number of improvements we have recently made to the services & products we offer, the team at W.A Cooke & Sons have decided to revamp our image as well.

With the WAC logo being the symbol of the company for almost 100 years we couldn’t bring ourselves to put it out to pasture and instead chose to give it a well deserved face lift, we have also redesigned the company brochure packs for both W.A Cooke & Sons and Watermark Projects which now include our updated list of products and services as well as a number of case studies from some of our previous projects.

If you would like to receive a new brochure pack please email admin@wacooke.co.uk or call 01204 574 721.
