July Monthly Roundup

July is a wrap. We’ve completed a number of projects across our 3 divisions this month..

The Group has achieved the certification of ISO:14001 meaning we can now display that we manage our environmental impacts ensuring we operate responsibly. A huge milestone for the company. We have now achieved the full Integrated Management Systems, integrating ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and ISO:45001.

On the social side, we have now got an Instagram page where we will be showing off our completed projects, displaying company news and more.

This month we also reached 1 year on Twitter. Within this year, we have gone from 0 to 1,100 followers. A huge milestone for our social media presence. Next stop 10,000.

From our Engineers division, we have taken on another apprentice welder / fabricator. Ben has joined us looking to grow his workshop experience, gaining new and building on existing skills. He has a very bright future ahead of him within The WA Cooke Group.

Multiple Projects have been completed by our engineers including a pipework fabrication for a major UK manufacturing company. We also have 2 ongoing projects, one to supply welded brackets to a civil construction company which is underway in our Manchester workshop. The other, in our Ely workshop, is a furnace fabrication for a leading UK manufacturer.

Site Services has been actively working with multiple municipal wastewater treatment works, overseeing and completing a filter bed restoration and shot blasting multiple grit rakes as part of a site refurbishment. These grit rakes will be returned and commissioned once the refurbishment process is complete.

Watermark Projects has a brand new service as of July 2022. We now offer spare parts for DAF customers, helping to ensure longer and more efficient operation.

Another DAF Model 6 has made it’s way to a customer’s site in Wales where it will begin treating their industrial effluent. In the video, you can see the Model 6 being loaded before delivery to site.

Another plentiful month for The WA Cooke Group, August will have a tough time topping it, but we think we might just be able to do it..
